* emilie inc.: Will + Justin's wedding at Laudholm Farm in Wells, Maine

I first spoke with Will and Justin nine months before their wedding day.  From the very start, they showed great care in their planning and making sure the day was special for them, but more importantly, for all of their friends and family who would share in their celebration nine months later.  They wanted to make sure the food was delectable, the drinks spectacular, the day fun and relaxing- all for their guests.  They said they wanted their wedding day to feel like they had loved ones over for the best dinner party ever.  I would say they absolutely succeeded.

Laudholm Farm was their backdrop, a special place indeed (Justin's parents actually helped start the Wells Reserve).  Justin's mother officiated their ceremony - she was so excited, she started before Will and Justin were even down the aisle!  Their confused faces had folks chuckling, when they finally made it to the "altar," both dashingly handsome in their J. Crew suits

Gus and Ruby Letterpress created a gorgeous invitation suite.  Guests enjoyed cocktail hour under a blue star Sperry Tent, which complemented the Texas flag hung to represent Will's roots.  Will and Justin decorated the entire barn, following through with their vision of one long table down the middle of the barn for that dinner-party feel.  Calluna Flowers' arrangements decorated the tables perfectly, and The White Apron served up some delicious food.  Instead of a cake, there was a cheese tasting and dessert table for guests to enjoy at their leisure.  The Maine Snapshot Studio, emilie inc.'s photo booth, had tons of traffic.  Event Lighting Concepts jazzed up the barn for dancing, which was fun to see, and the Pete Kilpatrick Band jammed all night, even DJ-ing some fun tunes on their set break.

All I saw all day were happy guests and two beaming grooms.  Mission accomplished, Will and Justin!  Thanks so much for having me be a part of your big day.  I felt like I was photographing the wedding of two dear friends.  I hope to see you soon!
