* emilie inc.: Wedding of Meredith + Ryan at Wentworth by the Sea Country Club in Rye, NH

I met Meredith and Ryan at one of my favorite local establishments, RiRa.  I only suggested this because I knew the two had met at another Irish pub in South Boston, the Farragut House.  Conversation was easy and we all got excited discussing the details of the big day (Ryan lost his fight for seersucker suits!).  Finally, after a few questions about their past, we realized Ryan's uncle Bo Tierney was my high school teacher at Bishop Fenwick in Peabody, MA!  Mr. Tierney and his family hold a special place in my heart, so I was ecstatic to know he would be at their wedding.  I was also excited to hear that my parents' name twins would be at the wedding as well -- both my and Meredith's parents are named Candy and Jim!

* emilie inc.: Wedding of Lauren + Joel at Laudholm Farm in Wells, Maine

Joel and Lauren are adorable together.  I loved that we got to ride the Summer Sessions (Rye, NH) surf bus to the wedding!  I would hardly call myself a surfer, but I love it, and hurricane season is here, so I'm sure those boys are tearing it up down there!

Laudholm Farm is a gorgeous property for a wedding.  My two friends, Beth and John married here in June and I attended their wedding as a guest, so I was excited to shoot Lauren and Joel's wedding here two months later, and I'm really looking forward to shooting the wedding of Alli and Joel (another Joel!) two months from now, curious to see how the leaves will change come October.

The emilie inc. photography wedding season is kicking off tomorrow with Denise and Steve shooting at Grace Restaurant in Portland, Maine tomorrow, but here is a wedding I shot at the end of last season that was just published on Style Me Pretty's Little Black Book Blog.  Tyler and Emily (she is a fellow grad of my alma mater Connecticut College), had their wedding in Rye Beach, New Hampshire at the adorable St. Andrew's By the Sea Church and the beautiful Abenaqui Country Club.  Event designer Amy Piper of Signature Events tended to every detail, assembling a gorgeous warm space for a nippy fall day filled with celebration.
